Psychedelic drugs are commonly associated with the cultural upheaval of the late 1960s and LSD guru Timothy Leary’s call to “Turn on, tune in, drop out.” But in the past decade, psychedelics like MDMA, magic mushrooms and LSD have gained a new following after being successfully used to heal Iraq and Afghanistan War vets suffering from PTSD.
